High Power
Flying high power rockets is very different from the smaller models. The major difference is that high power rocketry (HPR) uses a more powerful motor. The motor can lift the rocket thousands of feet in to the sky & in some cases faster than the speed of sound. Also, high power rockets can carry sophisticated electronics capable of tracking & recording the flight of the rocket through the skies.
In Ireland high power rockets are currently flown at the
Inishowen Maritime Museum, Co. Donegal and Tuam, Co. Galway.
